The Savage Tide
The Spear of Tlaloc
The Spear of Tlaloc was recovered from the ancient ruins of Tamoachan. The Spear, like other relics from Imperial Thanaclan, can be Invested with Olman Spirit Magic. It has been historically wielded by his High Priests, Speakers, and Heralds.
To wield The Spear of Tlaloc in any fashion beyond Base Ability requires the Lesser Soulbond or greater. A wielder without the requirements suffers 2 negative levels plus 2 additional negative levels for each step away from Lawful Evil on the alignment axis, as well as a matching amount of D6 damage (Divine: bypasses resistances) each round it is wielded. Carrying it without wielding it is painful, but not lethal in damage.
Base Ability: +1 Howling(1) Adamantine Spear.
Lesser Soulbond: +1 Howling(1) Returning Adamantine Spear, Wild(2).
Median(3) Soulbond: +2 / +3 Howling(1) Returning Adamantine Spear, Wild(2), Tempest(4) 3/day.
Greater(5) Soulbond: +3 / +5 Axiomatic Howling(1) Returning Adamantine Spear, Wild(2), Tempest(4) 3/day.
(1): Howling does +1d6 Sonic Damage on any successful hit as the weapon howls like the raging winds of a hurricane.
(2):Wild means the weapon merges with the wielder if Wild Shaped, granting it’s benefits to a single Natural Weapon of the assumed form(wielder’s choice). Tempest(4) remains usable.
(3): Can be Invested with up to 2 points of Spirit Magic, each point adding +1 extra to the weapon’s bonus.
(4): Tempest allows the wielder to generate a 60’cone, 120’ line, or 20’ radius area that is consumed by a raging tempest. The shrieks and roars batter those inside for 1d6 sonic damage per character level of the wielder. This is a (Su)pernatural effect using a Reflex save DC of 10 + (1/2 Character Level) + (Highest stat bonus of Int, Wis, or Cha).
(5): Can be Invested with up to 2 points of Spirit Magic, each point adding +2 extra to the weapon’s bonus.
